The bill beginning Sunday
night November 22 at this pop-
ular vaudeville theatre is one of
the best of the season The pro
gram is as follows
Mr George L Wade the well
known minstrel man who has
made thousands laugh in his
black face work in his own com-
pany is the leading attraction at
the Alhambra theatre this week
and he measures up to every ex-
pectation Mr Wade is assisted
by Miss Wall in a sketch which
displays Mr Wades talent to the
best advantage He appears in
the character of an old negro
woman while Miss Wall is pre-
sented as a dainty and very be-
witching young girl She is a
pretty woman and sustains her
share of the sketch with much
credit The act gives Mr Wade
opportunity to work far and wide
and from the time he comes on
with that infectious laugh until
the curtain goes down he keeps
the audience in an uproar His
laugh is a feature but the stuff
he works and the remarkable fa-
cial expressions would make a
tombstone wrinkle with merri-
ment
That beautiful illustrated
song Wish me good luck on my
journey will be sung this week
A very pretty set of slides ac-
company this song which acids
much to its beauty
Marilou and Rosalie make a-
very clever sister team who dance
and sing in costume They come
first as automobile girls with an
appropriate song and change
quickly to attractive Dutch girls
inwooden shoes They close with
solo dancing and a dance in uni-
son which establishes them as
very talented dancers
Mr Jack ODell and Miss
Grace Gilmoro have a very sub-
stantial sketch which mixes
wholesome fun with a true pa-
thetic tone and includes some
well arranged slang Miss Gil-
more is very good in the charac-
ter of a news girl and the plot
works out very satisfactorily In
the meantime the sketch gives
Mr QPen an opportunity to sing
a very effective song in a good
baritone voice and Miss Gilmore
also sings and they conclude
with a duet
