dred and ninetyseven suspects had
been arrested up to noon and others
are being brought to police headquar

ian consul announced this afteinoon
that he would investigate the crime
and ask his government to demand
an explanation of the United States
government of the high handed meth-
ods of the Chicago police The police
aided by the White Hand Society

LOOKING FOR TRAINS

Trying to Find Lost Trains and
a Snow Plow

Pacific Railway officials today started
a searching crew out to locate two
passenger trains and a snow plow
crew and an engine sent to locate the
missing trains All are now lost and
nothing can be heaid from them The
trains are stalled somewhere between
Livingston and Columbus The snow-
plow and clew were sent out after
the second tiain stuck in the snow to
dig It out Later another engine was
sent out to look for the snow plow
and it is stuck somewheie in the
snow Some of the passengeis are
said to hae walked back through the
snow drifts to Columbus and it is
feared that others aie suffering hun-
ger and exposuie

the Standard Oil company
takes over the holdings of the
United Fuel company o Pitts
burg the Columbia Gas com-
pany of Cincinnati and the
Ohio Fuel and Supply company
controlling nearly all the gas
and oil inteiests of West Vir-
ginia The consideration of the
deal is said to run into the
billions
