To the participants in this
project who will be writing the
histories and whose names will
appear as the writers in the!
hook this format is a guide:
Location of the school and
date the school came into ex-
istence. Date the school consolida-
ted with another district and
why.
Materials the buildings were
made of (wood brick
stone) .
Number of classrooms from
early days to date of consoli-
dation. Methods used in heating the
building.
Length of school term in the
early days and salaries.
Names of teachers and
trustees - Hist does not have

(See records in Connally
Neal's Office - Co. Sirpt.)
Interesting Facts:
A. Special events that took
place in tho community that
could make the report unique.
B. Human relations events
and "Would you believe"
statements.
C. Extra curricular activities
or athletic events that the
school participated in and a
record of special honors won.
It is hoped that the old-
timqrs of these communities
and any of tho teachers who
taught in these schools or the
students will write any of the
historical events or happen-
ings that will make the book
more interesting. These names
will appear as co-signers with
others as writers of the his-
tory of these communities.
Pictures of each of the Coun-
ty School Superintendents have
been received except Forrest
B. Smith who served in the
county from 1894 to 189G.
These pictures with pictures
of each county school build-
ing and group oictures of stu-
dents and teachers will make
the book an interesting pictor-
ial review as well as a histori-
cal record of the community
schools. '

Conleo's Top Hand was tho Number One Yielder
in nine Texas official experimental stations.
Here's a real winner ... a free sack of Top Hand
hybrid grain sorghum from Conlee Seed of Texas
. . . and a famous Buck Muskrat Knife !
That's my offer. I'm Larry Mahan. I've misjudged a
lot of broncs in my time but there's one thing I'm
sure of ... .
When it comes to making you a bundle of profit
Conleo's Top Hand grain sorghum is "a cut above the
rest".
Top Hand is a yellow endosperm medium to early
maturing hybrid. It's disease and drouth tolerant
and it comes on strong with irrigation.
Top Hand produces big high quality heads that dry
fast thresh clean. And. it really stays with the Texas
weather 'cause it has an extra large root system
that's stout as a bull.
Plant Top Hand this season. Convince yourself it'll
out perform tho rest. See your seed dealer about
my offer right avay A free sack of Conlee Top
Hand . . . and a $13.00 Buck Muskrat Knife any
man wculd be proud to carry.

We planted Top Hand in 1975 and were
well pleased. I had a 5 variety test plot
and Top Hand came in first. Grandee
came in fourth but out yielded all
Downy Mildew Resistant varieties
in the test. This is with the Grandee
germination only being 58.
Wo will plant more Top Hand in 1976
where downy mildew is no problem
and will plant Grandee where downy
is a problem.
The threshability on Top Hand and
Grandee was real good and they
cleaned out excellent. Wo would
recommend our neighbors and friends
to try it and compare.
