Funeral services for John M.j
Watts 82 of Stephenville. hus
band of a former resident were
conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in
Stephenville Funeral Chapel.
Burial was in West End Ceme-
tery. Mr. Watts was a retired mer-
chant. He and his wife owned
and operated Watts' Ladies
Store for '15 years before re-
tiring about three years ago.
He was a banker before he en-
tered the merchant field.
He was a life long resident of
Stephenville and was a World
War I veteran. He was married
to the former Bessie Mitchuss-
ion of Bartlett.
Surviving are his wife; a son
Sam E. Watts of Stephenville;
and two sisters Mrs. Lena
Wright of Corsicana and Mrs.
J. D. Killough of Stephenville.
Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Saage
were in Stephenville Sunday to
attend the funeral services.
