for $95007 in new federal
funds.
This grant under Title II of

will include $3000 in carry

The Emergency Food and
Medical Services program will
provide 600 persons on a tem
porary basis such foodstuffs

conditions of starvation or mal-
nutrition among poor and
needy of Burnet County. Out-
reach workers will be used for
recruitment and follow-up.
The Neighborhood Services
Program will bo active in the
following communities: Tay-
lor Georgetown Round Rock
Loander Liberty Hill Bartlett
Granger Jarrell Florence
Thorndale Bertram Briggs
Burnet Marble Falls and Hut-
to. This program will provide
1000 families with family
planning; 500 families with
cerdit union assistance; cul-
tural and educational experie-
nce for from 800 to 1000
youths; and consumer infor
mation for 2000.
Under the Housing program
300 families will be provided
budget counseling 30 families
will be provided adequate
housing through self-help; and
280 families will be provided
adequate homes throughout
the area by turn-key construc-
tion. As 40 of the population in
this area is under 21 years of
age the Special Summer Pro-
gram will provide educational
and cultural programs teen
clubs and counseling and social
service to approximately 50
percent of the youths for a
three-month penod.

Fine Arts Festival on Dec. 6
featuring paintings of high
school and junior high school

8 p. m. in the Bolton High
School Auditorium. Admis-
sion is $1.00 for adults and 50
cents for students. Proceeds
from the festival will be used
by Bell Fine Arts Association
toward the Texas Fine Arts
Association scholarship fund.
Musical numbers from Tem-
ple High School Temple Jun-
ior College Belton High School
Central Texas College Killeen
and Killeen High School are
included in the program. Stu-
dents from Mary Hardin-Baylor
College will present dra-
matic readings and dance
numbers will include tap and
ballet.
Doug Decker freshman at
Texas Christian University
and for several years a mem-
ber of the dance troupe of
the Crazy Horse Saloon at Six
Flags Over Texas will be a
featured performer.
Mrs. Leyland Law presi-
dent of BFAA is in charge of
ticket sales. Mrs. Jim Hen-
drick Mrs. Talmage Willson
and Miss Berneta Peoples are
working on program arrange-
