Miss Linda Ruth Garrett and
Walter Douglas Thiele ex-
changed marital vows Friday
evening in the Davilla Baptist
Church. Rev. Billy Tiller pas-
tor of the Bartlett Baptist
Church read the impressive
double ring ceremony.
A massive candelabra hold-
ing tall white tapers and en-
twined with greenery formed
the background of the impro-
vised altar.
Mrs. Everett Shelton pro-
vided the traditional wedding
music.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Garrett of
Davilla we parents of the
bride. The bridegroom's par-
ents are Mrs. Paul Ladusch of
Austin and Walter Thiele of
Houston.
B. E. Wilson of Belton escort-
ed his niece to the altar. The
bride wore a floor length white
wedding gown of imported silk
taffeta and chantilly lace
fashioned with a fitted bodice
Bcquin-trimmed scalloped neck-
line and long sleeves. The semi-
bouffant skirt was designed
with lace appliques pin point
ed with sequins.. A taffeta bow
at the waistline held the de-
tachable chapel train.
Her elbow length veil of silk
illusion fell from a rose petal
headdress of matching silk taf-
feta. She carried a bouquet of
white carnations and wore a
pear droplet centered with a
diamond.
Mrs. Sharon Kail of San
Marcos sister of the bride-
groom served as matron of
honor. Miss Margie Brock of
Bartlett and Miss Tammie Wil-
son of Belton were bridesmaids.
They wore identical yellow taf-
feta street length frocks and
headpieces of yellow taffeta
xosettes and yellow tulle. They
carried bouquets of white1 cate-
nations. Deborah Gale' Ladusch and
Tcddi Kay Thiele. sisters of
the bridegroom were flower
girls.

Mrs. 0. J. Koepke entertain-
ed the Friday bridge club with
a party at the Stage Coach
Club Salado last Friday after-
noon. Mrs. Alfred Wacker held
high score for the afternoon.
A dessert course was served

Miss Sandra Woolridge was
honored on her ninth birthday
with a party in her home.
Hostess was her mother Mrs.
Ray Woolridge.
Guests were served birthday
cake ice cream punch sand-
wiches and chips.

and Annie Mae Scott.

man. Eddie Wilson and Bobby
Connally both of Belton were
ushers and lighted the candles.
Billy Ray Garrett brother of
the bride was ring bearer.
Immediately following the
ceremony a reception was held
at the Davilla Community Cen
ter. A white lace cloth over
yellow covered the table. The
three tiered white embossed
cake stood on one end of the
table and a crystal punch
bowl was on the other. Mrs.
Talford Walker and Mrs. Ev-
erett Shelton presided at the
table.
Ricci Wilson distributed the
rice bags.
The bride chose a yellow and
whto suit with yellow access-
ories for the wedding trip.
After a wedding trip to Dal-
las the couple will reside at
607 B. Nelray in Austin.
Mrs. Thiele is a graduate of
Bartlett High School and the
bridegroom is a graduate of
W. B. Ray High School Corpus
Christi and the Doolin Tech-
nical College of Houston.
The bridegroom's parents
were hosts for a reheaisal din-
ner in Bartlett and the bridal
couple presented gifts to their
attendants.

Marsha Bonnet of San Marcos
were weekend guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Albert Janke and
Debbie.
Joe John Former
Bartlett Resident
Dies In Taylor
Funeral services for Joe
John 73 a former Bartlett
resident were held Friday in
the Condra Memorial Chapel
and the St. Mary's Catholic
Church in Taylor.
The Rev. Egene Braden and
the Rev. Paul McCallum offic-
iated at the services.
Mr. John of Route 4 Taylor
died in an Austin hospital. He
was a member of the St. Mary's
Catholic Church and the
Knights of Columbus in Taylor.
He was born August 10
1892 in Fayette County and
moved to Williamson County
in 1910. He spent the remain-
der of his life in this county.
He resided in Bartlett for sev-
eral years Where he was in
business.
Survivors are three brothers
F. I. John Frank John and
Otto John all of Taylor. He
was preceded in death by two
brothers and three sisters.
Rosary for Mr. John was
prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Burial was in the St. Mary's
Cemetery.

16 Annual Reunion
125 Attend Affair
The Kunz 16th annual reun-
ion was held June 26 at the
SPJST Hall in Holland.
Descendents from Houston
Austin Waco Rockdale Pasa-
dena Galveston Rosenburg and
Bellville attended along with
the area residents. There were
approximately 125 attending
this reunion.
After a basket lunch an aft-
ernoon of visiting games and
music were enjoyed.

and Tanya spent the week-end
in Dallas.
Mr. and Mrs. Logan Hohlc
and children of Midland have
been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ed
Hohle and Mr. and Mrs. II. J.

Mr. and Mrs. Pete Holt and
sons in College Station.

Mr. and Mrs. Homer D. Jones
announced the recent marriage
of their daughter Joyce Marie
to Robert Louie Steglich son of
Mr. and Mrs. Louie Steglich of
Bartlett.
They were married June 29
in the parsonage of the First
Baptist Church by Rev. Billy
Tiller.
The couple is making their
home in Temple where Mrs.
Steglich is employed by South-
western Bell Telephone Com
pany. Mr. Steglich is engaged
in farming in Bartlett.

their annual family reunion
last Sunday at the American
Legion Hall.
A covered dish dinner was
served at the noon hour. The
remainder of the day was spent
visiting.
