Democracy Beats
Communism Is
Theme For Dec. 7
A local program for Wetlnes-
djr Dec. 7 better known as
Tteiwl Harbor Day" is being
sponsored by the American
ligiOn Post of Bartlett. This is
part of a state-wide program
under the sponsorship of the
State Department of the Ameri-
can Legion.
In the local high school there
will be an election to select the
student officers to run the gov-
ernmental offices of the city for
the day. Elections will be held a
few days before the 7th. This
is being done through the co-
operation of city officials and
the school. This offers an op-
portunity to instill the spirit of
democratic government in the
hearts and minds of students.
Oft the night of the 7th at
7:30 p. m. there will be a joint
'meeting of all churches for a
special prayer service.
The next fssue of the paper
