ternoon, when their grand-
daughter, Miss Marilyn Mailtos
and Miss Jo Scott Ward paired
as hostesses for a Christmas
tea. . -
The reception rooms were

silver and pink used through-
out. On thh mantel in the liv-
ing room matching Dresden
urn* stood at either end with
a center arrangement a Dres-
den compote filled with fronted
balls and silver ornament* in
a mound of angel hair and
twinkling lights .Other pink and
silver decorations featured a'
pink feathsred angel, figurines
holding pink flowers and pink
’ candles in silvered bauble
nests.
The tea table waa laid in a
cloth of soft pink organdy with
pink linea appliques. A mas-
sive silver candelabrum at one
end of the table held pink tap-
ers and pink csraatidm with
silvered leaves and fern. The
silver tea service stood at the
opposite end and silver trays
bore dainty .fruit tarts, sand-
wiches, French puffs filled with
chicken mind, Christmas can-
dies and other confections.
A coffee table In the den was
graced with a huge pink candle
with silvered baubles and angel
'hair accents.
Receiving guests with the
hostesses were their mothers,
Mrs. Joe P. Ward had Mrs.
Margaret Mullins and Mrs.
Waits, Marilyn’s grandmother.
Presiding at the serving table
throughout the afternoon were
