Planter's Hotel and re-opened the
above named commodious and well known
establishment for the entertainment of stran-
gers and permanent boarders and is now pre-
pared to receive company and accommodate
those who may favor him with their patronage

the market can afford.

A TRACT of 231 acres of superior farm-
ing land in a good settlement on Gille-
land's Creek about 12 miles below Austin
near the road leading to Bastrop is o fie red
for sale. Three-fourths of said laud is a rich
alluvial soil easy of cultivation being a mus-
keet flat though not subject to overflow. The
creek runs through said land on the south-
western part affording sufficient timber for
all necessary purposes. Besides being the
best quality of laud for farming this situa-
tion possesses the greatest advantages for
rnising stock there being an unbounded out-
let for cattle on a muskeet range. On the
premises are several good sites for building.
This properly will be sold a bargain for
cash and a title indisputable given.

Foundry in the city of New York where
they are rendy to supply orders to any extent
for any kind of Job or Fancy Type Ink Pa-
per Cases Galleys Brass Rules Steel Co-
lumn Rules Composing Sticks Chaces and
every article necessary for a printing office.
The type which ore cost in new moulds
from an entirely new set of matrixes with
deep counters are warranted to be unsurpass-
ed by any and will be sold at prices to suit
the times. All the type furnished by us is
" hand cast."
Printing Presses furnished and also steam
engines of the most approved patterns.
L .hditors of Newspapers who will buy
three times as much type as their bills amount
to may give the above six months insertion in
their paper and send their papers containing
it to the subscribers.

justice of the peace in and for
the count? of Nacorrdoches. a
Negro Man slave about 35 or 36 yaars of age
of black complexion about 5 feet 6 or 8 in-
ches high with some scars on his back and
also some on his left arm between the elbow
and wrist. Said negro soys his name is Bev-
erly and that he belongs to a man by the
name of Currell Johnson of the State of Lou-
isiana. Notice is hereby given that if the
owner of said slave does not come forward
prove property pay charges and take him
away within the time prescribed bylaw that
the said slave will be further dealt with as the
law directs.
