John H. Brewer: Funeral services were held here at the First Methodist Church Sunday
afternoon at 2:30 p.m. for John H. Brewer, 76, of Dallas, Texas who was for many years a resident of
Celina, Texas. The Rev. L. T. Grumbles and Rev. C. B. Garrett conducted the last rites. Interment was
in Celina Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bennie Brewer, Leo Taylor, Douglas Brewer, L. A. Thompson all
of Celina, Texas and Dale Roach of Dallas, Texas and Lewis Cozart of Fort Worth, Texas. Helms
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Brewer, who was born September 23, 1873 in
Arkansas, passed away Thursday, April 6, 1950, at 10 p.m. at a veteran's hospital in Gulfport,
Mississippi, having been transferred there several months ago to the hospital at Biloxi. Mr. Brewer, a
son of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Brewer came to Texas in 1894 and settled in Celina, Texas. He was a
rural mail carrier until he retired. He was married to Miss Mae Thompson in 1904. Mrs. Brewer died in
1943. A son, Norman Brewer, died in 1937. Mr. Brewer and family moved to Dallas, Texas about 10
years ago. He was a veteran of the Spanish American War, having served in the Philippines and was a
member of the Methodist Church and The Woodman of the World Lodge. Survivors include a daughter,
Mrs. Gwyneth Brewer, one grand-daughter, Miss Patsy Joy Brewer from Dallas, Texas; a cousin, H. M.

0. J. M. Brewer: 0. J. M. Brewer, 81 of Heavener, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, April 16,
1950 at a Fort Smith, Arkansas hospital after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Brewer, brother of H. M.
Brewer of Celina, Texas was born in Sebastian County, Arkansas, April 10, 1869. He was a member of
the Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge and had been president of the First National Bank in
Heavener since it was organized before the turn of the century. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday at the Heavener Methodist Church. Interment was in the cemetery there with the Masonic
Lodge officiating in rites at the graveside. Beside his brother who lives in Celina, Mr. Brewer is survived
by his wife, one son and six grandchildren. Those from Celina tending the services were H. M. Brewer
and sons, Ben and Douglas Brewer and Mrs. Ben Brewer. (The Celina Record, Celina, Texas, Thursday,

Florence Gertrude (Lemon) Brimer: Florence Brimer, 80, was a resident of McKinney, Texas.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brimer were 3 p.m. August 31 st. At Weston Christian Church. Rev. P. W.
Sisterson, pastor of First Christian Church in McKinney conducted services, assisted by Rev. Riley
Donica, interment in Cottage Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roy Mayes, Laud Howell, Ted Cave,
Raymond Perry, Billy Dickerson and Robert Estep. Mrs. Brimer was born in Tyron, Tennessee January
27, 1874, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lemon. She was married there June 4, 1898 to Tom C. Brimer.
She and her late husband came to Texas in 1899. After her husband's death last fall, Mrs. Brimer moved
to McKinney, Texas where she died in the City County Hospital at 10 a.m. August 30, 1954, after an
illness of several months. Her husband, the late T. C. Brimer, was a merchant at Weston, Texas for many

Thomas Christopher Brimer: Tom C. Brimer, age 79 years, 1 month and 2 days, died 6:30
Wednesday night, October 14, 1953, at City County Hospital in McKinney, Texas. Mr. Brimer was a
retired farmer and in the grocery business in Weston, Texas from 1928 to 1930. Funeral services were
Thursday at 3 p.m. in Weston Methodist Church for which he served as official for a number of years.
Rev. C. B. Fielder, Methodist minister of McKinney conducted services assisted by Rev. Johnny
Rakestraw of Pilot Point, Texas. Interment was in Cottage Hill Cemetery directed by Crouch Moore
Funeral Home of McKinney. Pallbearers were Laud Howell, Gardell Chandler, Roy Mayes, Ted Cave,COLLIN CH RONICLES
