The nine current
members of the
National Honor
Society will soon be
joined by four recently
selected members.
They are: Becky
Kasper, Dana Howard,
D'Ann Whitehead, and
Matt West. Members
are chosen on the
basis of their scholar-
ship, leadership,
character, and service
to the school. Mrs.
Mary Walls, sponsor,
searches each year
for prospective mem-
bers in the students of
the Junior Class.
Prospects must have
an average of at least
90 in all solids for one
six weeks or at least a
90 average for all sub-
jects combined for
one semester. Can-
didates who have
qualifying grades are
then subjected to a
final review by a
committee of
teachers, who either
pass or fail the can-
didates.
The annual staff
this year is having
trouble meeting costs
for the 1984 annuals
due to inflation, the
price of the produc-
tion of the annuals
has gone up steadily,
and last year’s costs
were close to $10,000.
Parents of high school
and junior high
students will soon be
receiving an invitation
to buy an ad in the an-
nual which will help
defray costs. These
ads can have your
own personal pictures
in them, either a
family portrait or a
picture of your
children. People who
do not have children
in school but would
still like to contribute
are urged to contact
the annual staff in
care of Dublin High

from $20 to $90. *
