Moves To Okla..
Mr. and Mrs. 0. L. (Pete)
Lange. Jr. and children moved
to Oklahoma City last week
where Mr. Lange has been pro-
moted to salesman for the Cal-
ifornia Spray and Chemical
Company. His territory will in-
clude Southern Oklahoma and
North Texas.
Mr. Lange has been with 'the
Company in Wharton since 1955
where he was warehouse man-
ager. Mr. Lange son of Mr. and
Mrs. 0 JL. Lange Sr. was a
1941 graduate of Bartlett High
School where he lettered in foot-
ball four years. He attended
Southwest State Teachers Col-
lege in San Marcos for a year
and a half where he lettered as
a guard on the college team.
During World War II he
served in the Navy for four
years as a Gunner's Mate. He re-
ceived basic training at San
Diego and served in the Pacific
from Kiska Alaska all through
the Southwest Pacific to tho
China Coast and Japan. On his
return trip to the states he came
back by way of Capetown
South Africa.
He landed in Philadelphia.
Pa. where he met and married
Miss Pearl (Pat) Bryant.
Upon his return to Bartlett
he worked for Otto Lange con
tractor for a while and then
worked as substitute clerk in
the Post Office for seven years
before moving to Wharton.
Mr. and Mrs. Lange have two
children Danny 7 and Debbie
.. They are members of the
Methodist Church. While m
Bartlett Mr. Lange was active
in the Lion's Club and American
Legion.
Bulldogs Lose To
Salado In Double
Over-time 57-55
The Bartlett Bulldogs were
downed by the Salado Eagles
57-55 in a heartbreaking sudden-death
double over-time per-
iod Friday night on the Eagle
court. They went into the first
over-time period tied 51-51 and
ending 55-55.
In the second overtime Pecwee
lange dropped in a crip shot
that would have won the game
but the shot was nullified be-
cause of a traveling penalty
and the Eagles took the ball down
the court where Copeland drop-
ped one in to win the game.
The Bulldogs led in the first
quarter 14-11 but were knock-
ed out of the lead at half-time
by a score of 28-25 in favor of
the Eagles. The Eagles stayed
ahead until the fourth quarter
when the Bulldogs came from
behind to tie them and go into
over-time.
Larry Hodon led the Bulldogs
in scoring with 2 points. Floyd
Lange had 11 points Lorain
Kauitzsch 10 Melvin Steger 6
Billv Clyde House 4 and Fred
dy Keller 2 points. Copeland and
Crews led the scoring for the
Eagles with 15 points' each.
In the initial game of the ev-
ening the Lassies Avon from tht
Salado girls 51-3G. Susan Sch-
wertner led the Lassies in scor-
ing with 28 points. Sandra Polk
accounted for 13 points and
Linda Ware had 10 points. Mar-
ie Dunlap led the losers with 10
points.

in Temple Sunday to attend
church services.
