GRANDSON OF MRS. B.
WERNLf DIES AT HOLLAND
Little Charles Wayne Jones
year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. C.
W. Jones of Holland and grand-
son of Mrs. B. Wernli of Bart-
lett died at 10:00 p. m. Friday in
a Temple hospital after a brief
illness.
He was born March 4 1941.
Survivors are his parents one
sister Laura; one brother Bob-
by; his grandmother Mrs. B.
Vernli of Bartlett and grand-
father C. Y. Jones of Holland.
Funeral services were held
Sunday at 4:00 p. m. at the Hol-
land Baptist Church. Burial was
n the Holland cemetery.

W. F. Kurtz
Funeral services were held at
St. John's Lutheran Church
Tuesday afternoon at 3:45 for
William F. Kurtz who died at
his home near Holland Sunday
at 9:10 o'clock p. m. after an
illness of six years.
Mr. Kurtz was born January
9 1877 in (Washington County
but had been a resident of Bell
County for 64 years. He was
married Nov. 22 1905 to Miss
Adalc Friedrich. He was a mem-
ber of the St. John's Lutheran
Church.
Survivors are his wife; three
daughters Mrs. Theodore Beth-
ke Mrs. Gene Posey of Temple
and Miss Flora- Kurtz of Hol-
land; two sons Melvin and Wil-
ford Kurtz of Holland; six
grandchildren; one brother. Ju-
lius Kurtz of Ballinger; three
listers Mrs. Lydia Wankler of
The Grove Mrs. Ida Sander of
Perry Texas and Mrs. Adeline
vrauger of Waco.

For H. E. Ware
Funeral services were held
here Sunday afternon at 4:00
o'clock in the Baptist Church
for H. E. Ware a former Bart-
lett resident who died at his
home in Kingsville Friday even-
ing at 7:25 after a long illness.
Ernest Ware was born Nov.
3 1884 in Johnson County and
came to Bartlett with his par-
ents when only el. small child.
He was married in 1906 to Cora
iMcDaniel and to this union was
'born two sons Doyle and Hollis.
He "joined the Baptist Church
when 16 years of age.
"Mr. Ware moved to Kingsville
with his family in 1925 and lived
there the remainder of his life.
Horace Partlow and Mrs. J.
Manley (Reynolds sang "There Is
No Disappointment in Heaven"
and Mrs. George Cagle was at
the piano.

Methodist Revival
To Begin Aug. 12
Annual l'evival services of the
Methodist Church will be held
this vear from Wednesday Aug-
ust 12 to Sunday August 23 it
was -announced Sunday by the
pastor Rev L. R. Vanderpool.
A visiting minister is being
secured for this series of ser-
vices but it was not possible to-
day to announce his name.
A more complete announce-
ment will be made next week.

off" Texas voters decided Sat-
urday that there will be a run-
off and that James V. lAllred
and O'Daniel will be tho men to
make it. O'Daniel's percentages
of the votes cast was 49.86 per
cent just a little short of Wh
goal.
