Mr. Hollis Dalton Pres.
unnmber of Commerce
Bartlett Texas.
Dear Mr. Dalton:
I have never known a young
Chamber of Commerce to get as
fine a start as yours has during
the pasf year. It Is my mil-
fortune that I do not know many
of your .people and yet from
what I have seen of them the
past fourteen months I would
judge that you have unquestion-
umy Kinv uj. mw uuest communi-
ties anywhere in the state of
Texas.
The attendance you lhad at
your meeting last night 'and
their interest in Chamber of
Commerce work was something
tnat would nave done credit to
a city anany times your size
You also had an excellent pro-
gram and one that was enjoyed
by all of us. Ben Critfc- made
a good talk and your music and
eats were splendid. I especially
enjoyed the reading of Miss Hair.
I noted from the introduction
of officers and directors by your
Secretary Mr. R. E. Hudspeth
that you are going to have Eood
strong forces to handle affairs
this year. Please convey to Mr.
Wacker and Mr. Horton my
appreciation for their splendid
music and also to their accompa-
nist. I thought particularly
that the Benediction iof your
minister was very -fitting for
tnis occasion.
In conclusion let me compll
ment you in acting as Toast
master because you wasted no
words- told no stories and stuck
to your subject. Please convey
my regards to Rev. Peake.
With best wishes for the
new year.
Cordially yours
Walter E. Long
