KITCHEN KOMMENTARY
The kitchen force of any camp
is. in a precarious position. They
are continually on the spot.
When the food doesnt taste just
right the average enrollee does
nob hesitate to voice his disap-
proval. However iwhert the food
is excellent the man is satisfied
and he doesn't comment on his
satisfaction for the good! reason
that he is satisfied. "Silence
gives consent" is a true maxim
in this instance.
However flowers should be
strewn in the pathway of the
deserving while they can still ap-
preciate them. There has not
'been a single comment of any
kind made on the ever-present
problem of lunches in quite a
while. This is because they are
so' much better; in fact they are
down right good. The general
imess has been varied and im-
proved until the mess of Co. 3805
is of the best. The best way to
assure yourself of this statement
is to visit other camps or ask
.someone who has visited them.
The entire kitchen force is to
be complimented on these fine
improvements in the mess. The
way to a man's heart is through
his stomach it has been said and
we believe the way to a good
morale in camp is largely
through the mess. The credit is
to be shared by mess sergeant
Carter and his entire ofrce of
cooks and K. P's. equally. Con-
gratulations ! Keep the good
work up.
