President Bobbie Collins called
the meeting to order and tbe
opening prayer seas by Bessie Le
Blanc.
An inspiring devotion was given
by Joyce Rash, then a prayer by
Mr*. Ruby Hines, followed.
Wilma Ross was elected the as-
sociate teacher. There were three
committees appointed to wort in
the class as follows:
Food committee: chairman. Jean-'
nine Wood and helpers are Francis
Purvis and Joyce Malone
Visitation committee: Group cap-
tains are* Bobbie Short, Shirley
Cox. Maudelle Atchley and Joyce
Rash.
Gift Committee: Patsy Phillips
and Bessie LaBlanc.
A social hour was enjoyed by
everyone. The birthday honorees
were Frances Purvis and Sarah
Cog.
The meeting eras dismissed with
prayer by Patsy Phillips.
Following, tbe class honored Mrs.
Wanda Galloway with a stork
shower. She received many nice
useful gifts. — Bobbie Short, re-
porter.

Delia Epsilon
Entertains Region XI
Delta Epsilon chapter of Delta
Kappa Gamma, an International so-
ciety for women teachers, was
hostess to Regional meet Saturday,
November 7.
The group Is composed of nine
chapters. From this group, 160
members attended the meeting. As
the members arrived, from 6:00
o'clock to 9:30, coffee was served.
After coffee, initiation was held.
Nine members were initiated into
Delta Kappa Gamma. Two into
Delta Epsilon, two into Upsilon,
and five into Gamma Chi.
From 10:45 to 11:30 the group
met in four special interest groups.
The chapter winning the highest
points award was Delta Kappa.
Conroe. This award was announced
at the luncheon which followed In
the Methodist Church Fellowship
Hall.
Mrs. Gladys Stewart is president
of Delta Epsilon and she served
as the general chairman for the
meeting. Mrs. Levonne Rochelle,
Texarkana, and Mrs. Mae Hope
Reid, Jasper, were the directors.
Mrs. Rochelle was the luncheon
speaker, her subject, “You Are Tbe
Key."
The Regional meet was honored
to have as gaeSts, Alpha State
President. Mrs. Nell McMains of
Texas City and Alpha State Cor-
responding secretary. Miss Norma
Ewing, Galveston. Other guests
were Miss Alice Crump, Texar-
kana, and Mrs. Jim Miller, Living-
ston.
