Green's Creek
churches plan
joint services
The churches of the Green's
Creek community will hold joint
revival services starting Sunday
and continuing through Tuesday.
Services will begin at 7 p.m.
each evening at the tabernacle.
The services are hosted jointly
by Green's Creek Baptist and
United Methodist churches.
Rev. David Leach, pastor of the
Methodist Church, will bring the
Sunday night message with choirs
from both congregations bringing
special music. An ice cream social
will follow.
Chet Atkins will bring special
music Monday night with the Rev.
David Blagg, pastor of the Baptist
Church, bringing the message.
Dr. Jerry Madkins, pastor of St.
John Baptist Church in' Stephen-
ville, will preach Tuesday night
with the choir bom his church
bringing special music.
Everyone is invited to attend.

plans reunion
The Dublin High School Class of
1950 will holds its 45tb year class
reunion Saturday, June 10 at PAR
Country Club.
Social hour begins at 6 p.m. with
a buffet dinner to follow at 7 p.m.
Reservations should be made by
June 3 and the deadline for cancel-
lations is June 7. Cost is $10 per
person. Family and friends are
invited.
The class of 1950 also invites
other graduating classes of DHS to
join them for the reunion, espe-
cially the 1949 and 1951 classes.

Mr. and Mrs. Z.C. Sedden, Jr. will celebrate 50 years of marriage
May 20 at a reception from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the American Legon
Hall, Post 470, County Road 433, North Lake Brownwood. Hosts will
be their children and grandchildren: Pat, Unda, Casey, Pam, Clair,
Alex, Patrick and David. Friends and families are invited to attend the
reception. The couple requests no gifts please. Jo (Ada Jo
Fincannon) and Z.C. were married in Venture, Calif, on May 20,
1945. Their home now is in the Harbor Point area of North Lake
Brownwood.
Lingleville sponsors
Martin family benefit
The Lingleville community will
sponsor > night of fun and games
to benefit the Dwain Martin fam-
ily.
Martin suffered a stroke in De-
cember and is unable to return to
work. '
Activities include a jackpot 3
point shooting contest by members
of the senior class and a free throw
contest with men teachers chal-
lenging female teachers.
A cake and arts and crafts auc-
tion will be held and refreshments
will be for sale.

score high at state UIL
Birk Billingsley won second
place in Current Issues and
Events in statewide UIL com-
petition in Austin last week.
Amy Carsten, competing in
Computer Applications, placed
third.
Amber Anderson
wins state award
Amber Anderson, daughter of
Jeanette and Dar Anderson, was
one of four first place winners in
statewide Poetry and Short Story
competition sponsored by the
Twentieth Century Club of
Stephenville and The Texas Fed-
eration of Women’s Clubs.
Amber won first place for her
short story tilled "My First Kitten."
The entries have been forwarded
to the national level and have been
entered in the General Federation
of Women's Clubs Poetry and
Short Story Contest.
The national awards will be
announced in Seattle, Wash, at .the
national convention in June.
It's a boy!
Tonya and Terry Dobson Jr.
proudly announce the birth of their
son, Tristan Jordan, born April 23
1995.
He weighed 7 lb. 3 oz. and was
20 1/2 in. long.
