Taylor prom goes to the golden age
Taylor High School
students and fac-
ulty came together
Saturday at the Gabriel
Spring Event Center
in Georgetown to cel-
ebrate Prom 2014. The
Golden Age theme
inspired colorful and
elaborate fashion like
“The Great Gatsby” and
attire from the roaring
20s era. Students wore
hats, feather broaches
lace and pearls, and
donned the flapper and
fellow look. The stu-
dents on the dance floor
rocked, rapped, bailaron
Cumbias, two-stepped
and line danced collec-
tively knowing that the
end of school was near.
“Students looked good,
acted right, and had a
good time,” Principal
Danny Ward said. “I
enjoyed being there.”

Miranda Arista and Albert Vasquez III pose for a picture
at their prom Saturday in Georgetown. Vasquez, who is
recovering from a sports injury, did not let that hinder
him from enjoying himself and his date. "I had a really
good time," Arista said, "it was a night to remember."

Cassandra Estrada and Abraham Lopez move to the
Latin beat. Estrada wore a romantic rose corsage and a
sleeveless white gown while her date donned a white
vest over a black shirt.
