uoii lecture in tho Masonic course by
Rev. J. T. Wright. Persons who

“Kweer Pholks” is a kweer lecture,
kweorly delivered for kweer people.
No other need apply.
Mr. Wright is gitled with that
happy faculty of provoking a good
beany laugh, without rec. urso to
aDy but the highest order of fun,
humor and brilliant wit.
Wo have heard Russell, Villcr*,
Train, and many other lecturers, but
we can truly say that Mr. Wright
surpasses them all.

Rev. M A. Daugherty was ap-
pointed by the Bishop at the Austin
conference, Presiding Elder of the
San Antonio district, and Pastor at
San Antonio. A veiy important
and difficult work is committed to
him. lie very much regrets leaving
Denison, with whoso interests he
has been, and will continue to be
identified, but will entoras soon as
possible on tho higher anil wider
6cld assigned him. His district
embraces southwest Texas with
San Antonio as headquarters,
the Rio Grande on tho west and tho
gulf on tbe south as its limits, a
lerrity out of which two or threo
groat States could bo made and in
which ten millions of ponple will
live when Toxub is as well settled as
New York. To build a church in
San Antonio and plant churches
throughout this region is hismisson.
By tins change Denison loses an
energetic and worthy citizen, a
kind and upright gentleman, and a
truly efficient teacher and guide.
This loss will not he confined to the
M. E. community’, hut will bo tell by-
