The Southwestern Presbyterian
of Aug. 2 takes occasion to warn
Christian communities to beware of
“revival tramps,” who, under the
guise of‘‘evangelists” pray upon the
unsophisticated. The editor does
not, of course, place all laborers in
the revival field in the catagory of
tramps, but it is well for Christians
to look well to the credentials of all
strangers traveling over the country
as religious exhorters.
