God Knows Best
God saw the road was getting rough,
the hills were harder to climb.
He gently closed her loving eyes,
and whispered, "Peace Be Thine."
Her weary days, her hour of pain,
the long, long nights are past.
Her ever-patient, worn-out frame,
has found sweet peace at last.
God saw that she was getting weary,
so He did what He knew best.
He came and stood beside her chair,
and whispered, "Come and Rest."

It breaks our heart to lose you,
but you did not go alone.
Part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.Obituary
On the morning of May, 5th 1998, the sweet spirit of
our dear mother/grandmother slipped away to join our
Lord and Savior. Adella Bland was the fourth of eight
children born to Mr. & Mrs. Lewis and Nancy Rice in
Boley, Oklahoma on Feb. 11, 1911. At a very early
age Mrs. Bland professed her faith in God, and has
lived a truly holy life walking in His grace and love.
Mrs. Bland has been a devoted member of St. Paul
United Methodist Church for 70 years. She was active
on the Communion Stewards Board, diligently assisted
during Baptisms, attended Sunday School. For 35
years she distributed The Upper Room and later in life
became an active member of the Senior Citizens Min-
istry. In 1982 she was voted St. Paul "Woman of The
Year", an honor she held very dear to her heart.
Mrs. Bland was united in holy matrimony in 1929 to
Alvis Lytle Bland. To this union, one child, Lillie
Myrtle, was born.
Mrs. Bland is survived by her daughter, Lillie M.
Williams; Son-in-law, H.C. Williams; Grandchildren,
Letticia and Karen Williams, Harold C. Williams Jr.
(preceded her in death); Great Grandchild, Jordyn
