3,200 Cattle and Calves Uneven,
Grassers Weak
In the cattle division at Fort
Worth Monday stockcr and feed-
er classes and bulls sold fully
steady. However, on cows,
slaughter calves and fed steers
and heifers the trade was highly
uneven. Shippers and other
buyers representing independents
and olf-market packers took sup-
plies at generally steady prices
in active fashion. However, later
sales were inclined lower and the
bidding displayed an extremely
wide division of opinion among
the buyers as to values. Some
cattle and calves sold at prices
which were dollars above other
packer bids.
Good and choice slaughter
steers and yearlings sold from $25
to $28.25, while common and
medium offerings sold from $16
to $24. Fat cows cashed at $18
