into formal conferijnco this moinintf to draw up a program
for ending the nationwide shopmens strike.
The solution reached at this confeience i.s to he submit-
ted this afternoon to the executives representing a hundred
and fortyeight railroads.
NKW YORK Aug. 17. The fifth effort by an outside
agency to end the shopmen's strike was made today when
leaders of railroad brotherhoods udnt into a coherence
with a committee representing the railroad officials.

just as the conference was called and said he was ready to
advise with the conferees if needed.

tho ranch of C. R. Stover whero tho

catch of about twenty-five or tniny
pounds ot good fish and a delight-
ful outing.
