Martha Kay Bennett
Martha Kay Bennett, 59, of Nevada died Oct. 6, 2009, at her
home.
She was born July 2, 1950, in Sioux City, Iowa to Lafe
Kenneth Beltz and Wilma Marie Rich Beltz. She married
Ronald Bennett Nov. 18, 1968, in Nebraska.
Other survivors include her mother, Wilma Beltz of
Richardson; husband, Ronald Bennett of Nevada; son, Brent
Bennett of Wylie; daughters, Bridgett Bennett Hardwick of
Nevada, Brenda Bennett of Nevada and Becky Bennett of
Nevada; brothers, Keith Beltz of Royse City and Kenneth Beltz
of Mabank; sisters, Sylvia Berg of Nevada and Mary Wriedt of
Richardson and four grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allen Funeral Home
of Wylie.
June Rose Evans
Family graveside services for June Rose Evans will be held
at Resthaven Memorial Park in Rockwall.
Mrs. Evans died Sept. 30, 2009, in Wylie.
She was born in June 1936.
Mrs. Evans, formerly of Rowlett, was retired from UTD and
had been residing in San Antonio. According her family, "she
left this earth surrounded by her loved ones and the spirits of
angels. She went peacefully to the light of the Lord." They said
she was a loving, giving person and will be missed dearly.
Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Evans of Wylie and
Marie Ressa of Frisco; grandchildren, Stacy Yarbrough, Ashton
Ressa and Ayden Ressa; great-grandchildren, Chassidy
LeVasseur and D.J. Hollingsworth; and cousins, Pat Esquivel
and Roger Kilbourn.
Vicki Graves
Funeral services for Vicki Joyce Graves,
56, of Ector were held Oct. 10,2009, at First
United Pentecostal Church in Savoy.
The Rev. Virgil Comwell officiated.
Mrs. Graves died Oct. 6.
She was born Feb. 3, 1953, in Fort
Monmouth, N.J. to William Wallace Graves
and Syble Joyce McKinney Graves. She attended school in Dallas
and was a reporter for the Bonham Daily Favorite and the Herald
Democrat.
She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Savoy.
According to her family, she loved reading, photography, sewing and
crocheting.
Survivors include her parents, William Wallace Graves and Syble
Joyce Graves of Royce City; sons, William Wallace Massey of Dodd
City and Lucas Wayne Massey of Commerce; daughters, Sheri Ann
Swartzendruber of Dodd City and Elisha Beth Lovell of Wylie; sis-
ter, Karen Sue Hulett of White Oak and grandchildren, Stacy,
Steven, Abbey, Brad, Casey and Aidan.
Shaunna Reneau Tiller
Funeral services for Shaunna Reneau Tiller, 22, of Wylie were
held Oct. 12, 2009, at New Hope Christian Church. Interment fol-
lowed at Thompson Cemetery.
Terry Wayne Johnson officiated.
Ms. Tiller died Oct. 8 in McKinney.
She was born Jan. 25, 1987, in Wylie.
Survivors inclue her mother, Rebecca Jean (Watkins) Tiller of
Wylie; sister, Nikki Tiller of Dallas and grandparents, Winston and
Margie Watkins of Wylie.

Craig 'Cas' Alan Sommerfeldt
Memorial services for Craig Alan Sommerfeldt, 53, of Wylie
were held Oct. 10, 2009, at the Wylie United Methodist Church.
Mr. Sommerfeldt died Oct. 7 in Piano.
He was born Feb. 14, 1956, in Janesville, Wis., to Virgil
Sommerfeldt and Nancy Schuler Sommerfeldt.
He married Terri L. Egan April 13, 1996, in Irving and was a
supervisor/hazmat tech of TAS Environmental.
Mr. Sommerfeldt was a member of Wylie United Methodist
Church.
Survivors include his wife, Terri Sommerfeldt of Wylie; sons,
Brian Bratcher of Easley, S.C., and Michael Sommerfeldt of
Wylie; daughter, Sara Sommerfeldt of Wylie; parents, Virgil and
Nancy Sommerfeldt of McCallum; brother, Deny Sommerfeldt of
Beloit, Wis.; and two grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home
of Wylie.
Walter Joe Ford
Funeral services for Walter Joe Ford, 79, of Rockwall were held
Tues. Oct. 13, at Charles W. Smith and Sons Chapel in Sachse.
Mr. Ford died Oct. 8.
He was born Sept. 2, 1930, in Farmersville to Maude
(Dunham) and William A. Ford.
Mr. Ford attended Garland High School and served in the
United States Navy aboard the USS Mississippi during the
Korean War. According to his family, his passion was attending
the USS Mississippi Reunion each year to visit with all the men
who served with him. They said he loved to travel.
He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in
Farmersville.
He owned and operated Ford Electric Co. serving the
Dallas/Forth Worth area for more than 40 years. He served as
director for the First National Bank of Sachse for many years and
was a longtime member of the International Association of
Electrical Inspectors.
Survivors include his wife, Faye; sons, Michael Ford of
Farmersville, Robert Ford of Garland and Joe Ford Jr. and his
wife Dawn of Piano; brother, Billy Ford and his wife Rita of
Edgewood; 10 grandchildren, Brian, Davis, Rob Jr., Dante,
Autumn, Janice, Jenna, Damiana and Donata; three great-grand-
childrcn, Cody, Toby, Carson, Sydney, Kalyn and Farrah; nieces,
Terri and Cathy; nephews, Scott and Robert and numerous other
cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and
daughter, Kimberli Gail Ford.
Pallbearers are sons, Michael Ford, Robert Ford and Joe Ford
Jr.; grandsons, Brian Ford, David Ford, Rob Ford Jr. and Jon
Ford. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Sharp, Don Raines,
Paul Nelson, Bell Collins, Billy Nelson. Lewis Elliott and V.G.
Garner.
Memorials may be made to the Scottish Rite Hospital or
Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of Charles W. Smith &
Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Sachse.
