Will Jlzmorialisc Congress
Judge ThomasCarson this morn-
ing informed a Herald reporter
that he will lay before the next
meeting of the city council a pro-
position to memorialize congress
ol the subject of building a rail-
road from Laredo to Brownsville
for frontier protection Thejudge
expresses the opinion that there is
not much hope of obtaining gov
ernmentaid for the project but
believes it will hare the effect of
calling the attention of outside cap
ital to the matter and may bear
good results in the end He also
deems it well for the citizens of
Brownsville and Cameron county
to show their interest in the matter
by signing this memorial and
thinks it would be advisable for
the county officials and all promi-
nent citizens of the county to follow
suit
