Q. Now, in connection with the investigation on L. D. Murphy,
have you had occasion tb examine certain bank records in
the Buckner's State Bank in Dallas, Texas?
A. Yes.
Q. And now, I show you copies of two checks drawn on the
Buckner State Bank dated February 24, 1962, payable to
cash for $3,000 signed by Robert V. Jobe and a check dated
February 23, 1962 drawn on the Buckner State Bank in Dallas
for cash for $3,500, signed by Robert V. Jobe?
A. Yes, sir.
Q. Have you examined the endorsement on the back of both those
checks?
A. Yes, sir.
Q. What does that endorsement show?
A. L. D. Murphy, 2306 Duane, Kilgore, Texas.
Q. Now, do you know where those checks were negotiated?
A. In Hot Springs, I believe, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Q. Do you know where in Hot Springs they were negotiated?
A. I believe it was at some reported gambling place.

David C. Moore, Longview, concerning this relationship

A. I recall Judge Moore testifying, I am not particularly clear
that he actually testified to that particular item.
Q. In the course of your investigation, have you had occasion to
uncover a check from David C. Moore to Robert V. Jobe?
A. Yes, sir. I have.
