Notes

User Feedback: "This bell was used at the Allison Brothers Ranch southwest of Ballinger to call the ranch hands and to summon help in case of emergencies. Following the Civil War Samuel Neeley Allison and wife Margaret established the ranch on the Colorado River southwest of Ballinger in Runnels County. They constructed an 18 room house of stone hauled from Austin. In the early days it functioned as a stage stop. The Allisons and their sons C.G., E.C., and Samuel, Jr. and their families resided in the house until 1908."
