shortage in the supply of erode oil is
noted in a report hv tin- bureau of
mines, compiled in response to a sen
ale resolution and made public t.might.

shows,while gasoline stocks have been
reduced to a two or three weeks’ .sup-
ply, necessitating continued conscrva-

The report shows the production of
gasoline last January was 5,580,000
barrels in July it. was 7,!»oo.ooo bar-
rels, and in August, N.ooo.noo barrels.
In July there was a decrease of I,
030.000 barrels in slock while hcO

1.500.000 barrels, showing that pro-
duct ion is not keeping pace with eon
sumption.
