WHAT
That the rooster’s influence on the
hens is bad is atested by the United
iHtates Department of agriculture. A
succial bulletin received this morning
recommends divorce on the ground
(that fertile eggs do not keep well, par-
ticularly in warm weather.
After breaking up the chicken fami-
ly eggs should be gathered twice a day
iif there is reason to suspect that the
hens ore laying so often. Any eggs
i found should be inept in a cool dry
place.
The government recommends egg
dealers to pay more for good egg* and
states that bad eggs are worthies',
and should not be paid for. It is of-
ficially staged that inferior eggs often
roach a proportion of 30 per cent of
the supply. »
