with her husband, who has been in
the hospital there the past three
weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Edan entertained a
large crowd in their home Saturday
night with an enjoyable party.
Misses Duello Clemens, Josie and
Cora Lummus attended the B. Y.
P. U. social given Tuesday night by
Rev. and Mrs. Baxter at Shamrock.
H. W. Grady from Pampa was a!
visitor last week with Mr. and Mrs.
Walter C. Grady of this place.
Mr. and Mrs. Orr entertained a
number of friends last Thursday
with a party.
Miss Mildred Robinson and Mrs.
Sydney Johnston are on the sick
list this week.
Fine church services were held here
last Saturday night and Sunday
morning and evening by Rev. J. J.
Baird of Shamrock.
Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Eoffee and
little daughter, Helene, moved last
week to their farm in this com-
munity, recently purchased from John
Guynes.
' Mrs. John Welch and children
moved last week from the China
Flat community and are living with
the lady’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.
K. Barber, of this place.
Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Walker motor-
ed to Elk City, Okla., Saturday to
visit the lady’s sister, Mrs. Leonard
Fields, who is in a hospital there.
Rev. Castleberry of Oklahoma held
church services here Sunday morning
and night.
Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Carver of
the China Flat ocmmunity spent
Tuesday night with the lady’s par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Thompson.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Van Camp
gave a farewell party at their home!
Friday night.
Mrs. Joe Page and children of
Wheeler spent Sunday with Mrs.
J. A. Vanpool.
Mr. and Mrs. M. T. Shaddix and
Miss Preb McDonald of Erick, Okla.,
were guests of Mrs. S. A. McDonald

Isaac Underwood of Zybaoh and
Miss Beulah Alderson of this com-
munity were quietly married at the
home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and
Mrs. George Alderson, Sunday after-
noon, Judge A. C. Wood of Wheeler
officiating. The young couple will
make their home in this community
for the present. Their many friends
wish them a long and prosperous
married life.
Prof. C. W. Turman spent the
Week end with friends at Groom.
