Gentlemen:
For the entire and complete elec-
tric light and power plant, electric
distribution system _ and the entire
and complete street lighting system,
together with all the machinery,
engines, generators, real estate and
buildings, transformers, poles, wires,
tools, cash on hand representing
meter customer’s deposits, operating
■ supplies and all appurtenances and
appliances belonging to or appertain-

tion of the municipal electric light
sand power plant, electric distribution
system and street lighting system,
Central Power and Light Company
■offers you and agrees to pay under
,.the terms and conditions hereinafter
set out the sum of One Hundred and
Seventy-seven Thousand Five Hun-
dred ($177,500.00) Dollars, payable
ip cash on the terms and conditions
hereinafter set out.
This offer is conditional on its ac-
ceptance by you in accordance with
the laws of the State of Texas,'and
that the City Council of the City of
Shamrock will by proper ordinance
or ordinances, resolution or resolu-
tions authorize the Mayor and City
Secretary to enter into a contract
' with me for the sale to Central
Power and Light Company of the
above described property; that all
legal and necessary ordinances and
resolutions be passed by the City

authorizing the holding and calling
of an election to submit the question

property to the voters properly quali-
fied under the law to vote on the

in accordance with laws of the State

attorney of Central Power and Light
Company and subject to his approval;

Power and Light Company, its suc-
ceasors and assigns, a franchise for
a term of fifty (50) years sub-
stantially In the form of franchise

Company, its successors and assigns
will be permitted to charge the fol-
lowing schedule of lighting and power
rates in said City:
Electric Rates
Firat 26 KWH, 15c per KWH.
Next 75 KWH, 18Hc per KWH.
Next 200 KWH, 11c per
Next 300 KWH, 8c per
Excess, 6c per KWH.
Minimum, $1.50 per month.
Heating rate, 4c per KWH.
mum, $8.50 per month.
Power Rates
First 200 KWH per hp. Con’d,
per KWH.
Next 200, KWH per hp. Con’td,
per KWH.
Excess per hp, Con’td, 2c per KWH.
No minimum shall be less than
$2.00 per month.
(Any power customer has the op-
tion of using the city rate of Dec.
1926 if he desires.)
(All bills are payable before the
15th of the month. If not paid on
or before that date, we may ndd 10

Flat Rateg
Awning light, where company fur-
nishes all installations, same remains
property of the company, company
also furnishes lamp renewals.
Rate, 1 l-8c per watt connected

Pumping Rate
Agrees to pump from the present
reservoir or any other reservoir or
tank at or near present location into
the overhead tower at the rate of
not to exceed two and one-half (2V4c)
cents per one thousand gallons, to
be measured by a Venturie Meter,
to be Installed by City.
RATES TO CITY OF SHAMROCK
Power
First 100 KWH per demand indi-
cated, 3c per KWH.
Next 100 KWH per demand indi-i

metal standards, $4.00 per month
per lamp.
100 candle-power on center sus-
pension or pole bracket fixtures $1.80

80 candle-power on center suspen-
sion or pole bracket fixtures, $1.58
per month.
60 candle-power on center suspen-
sion or pole bracket fixturee, $1.36
per month.
The above rale is the total cost to
the city inasmuch as the company
will make all installations and ex-
tensions to the present system, will
maintain the entire system and fur-
nishing all lamp and globe renewals
and will meet any reasonable re-
quirements with reference.to making
changes in the system installed by
the City of Shamrock.
Central Power and Light Company
agrees to install as soon as possible
after the purchase and delivery of the
power plant, etc., to ourselves, such
additional generating capacity as is
required to take care of the light
and power requirements of the town
of Shamrock, Texas, the engine
capacity to be installed may be
greater, but shall not be less than
350 horse power. And we also agree
to maintain a power generating plant
within the corporate limits of the
City of Shamrock, TexaB, of suffi-
cient size to provide for all light and
power requirements of our customers
within the town of Shamrock, Texas.
In addition to the purchase price
above set out Central Power and
Light Company agrees to assume a
certain contract entered into by and
between the City of Shamrock and
the Fairbanks-Morse Engine Company,
for the purchase of a 350 hp. Fair-
banks-Morse Engine, said engine to
cost installed and fully equipped ap-
proximately Twenty-Four Thousand
($24,000.00) Dollars.
Central Power and Light Company
further agrees, at all times during
the life of the franchise granted to
it, to maintain in the City of Sham-
rock sufficient power to take care of
the needs of said city.
Central Power and Light Company
further agrees to pay all the costs
of calling and holding the election
including cost of posting and of
publishing the notices of said elec-
tion, and any and all incidental ex-
pense attached to the said election,
and to place in escrow with a bank
in Shamrock, Texas, to be agreed
on between the City and Council of
tho City of Shamrock, Texas, and
agent of Central Power and Light
Company, the sum of Twenty Thou-
sand ($20,000.00) Dollars, as earnest
of its intention to carry out, in full,
its contract with you for the purchase
of said above described property.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, Central
Power and Light Company has caused
this instrument to be executed by its
duly authorized agent, Frank Hous-
ton, as of 18th day of March, A. D.
