On the back of the map, the page contains illustrated text. The text is continued on previous and successive pages (not included). The top portion contains brief statements titled "Cities of the Southern States." Another section, starting in the bottom half of the page is labeled "Central States--Eastern Section" and contains information regarding Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Kentucky.
