each week to the winner of
the contest.
The pipe is valued at $5
and is embossed with an

year.
For basketball predic-
tions, entries will be based
on Lamar Tech games on-
ly. Winners will be deter-
mined on the basis of: 1)
Picking the correct game
winner or winners, and 2)
Coming closest on the total
numher of points scored in
the game or games.
The first contest will in-
volve only one game, that
with the University of Cor-
pus Christi here Monday
night, January 3.
Entries must be submit-
ted by 4 p.m. the day of the
game. A box for entries is
located in The Redbird of-
fice, 121-E.
Zeta Chi Dance
A Christmas Dance will
be held Saturday evening at
the Department Club in Port
Arthur by the Zeta Chi. The
dance is for members of the
social club and their dates.
Committees and commit-
tee chairmen for the dance
are d e c o r a t ions, Martha
Whitley and Billie Pearl
Grisham, co-chairmen; re-
freshments, Rachel Ann
Cooperand Joan Chaisson,
co-cha ir men, and enter-
tainment, Betty Ann Miller.

Canterbury Party
The Canterbury Club at
786 East Virginia is having
a Christmas party Friday
night at 8 p.m.
There will be carol sing-
ing, games, refreshments,
dancing and a jam session.
Everyone is invited and
asked to bring a friend.

being developed in England
for teaching bee keeping to
youngsters.
