Club Busy
For Election
Campaingingfor their
Homecoming candidate,
Beverly Mallett, has taken
most of the Shutterbug
club's time recently.
Larger-than-life pictures,
photo-covered banners, and
numerous posters are ex-
amples of their work.
This club, organized to
promote better photo-
graphy, is sponsored by two
faculty members, David
Bost and Roy H. Biser.
Hie group plans to photo-
graph models in various
picture styles. First model
will be Beverly Mallett in
the Cheese Cake style.
They intend to start by
having regular instructions
of correct camera use and
all fundamental principles.
The second major plan in -
eludes dark room proces -
sing. Tied in with Jnstruc -
tions in camera usage, dark
room processingand
modeling, will be picture
composition.
The Shutterbugs will also
strive to sponsor a school
wide snapshot contest.
There will be prizes given.
The winning shots Mil be
published in The Redbird.
Members of the club are:
Frank Cricchio, president;
Jack Stowers, secretary and
treasurer; R. D. Evans,
Paul Gupton, James Tack -
son, Beverly Mallett, Wan -
da Jo Park, Ann Abshier,
George Kirkpatrick, Robert
Brock, Walter Lester and
Ed Pearson.

Enter SH Rodeo
At Huntsville
Representing the Lamar
Teen Rodeo club at the
Huntsville Rodeo w i 11 be
John Guidry and Theo Mat-
thews in the goat tieing
division. Garland Love-
lace, Charlie Amburn, La-
mar Chandler and Billy He-
bert will ride bareback and
bull ride. Jerry Thompson
and Lamar Chandler will
calf tie. They will partici-
pate in the afternoon shows
of November 4, 5 and 6.
Officers for this year are
Charles Amburn,president;
Garland Lovelace, vice
president; June Turner,
secretary; Billy Hebert,
treasurer; Edward Dunlay,
Sheriff, and Diana Karnes,
reporter.
Diana Karnes will repres-
ent the club as Homecom-
ing Queen candidate, and
Carolyn Radford as candi-
date for Slime Queen.
