American Chemical Society - Student
affiliate chapters of the American Chemical
Society were made up of students of
chemistry. chemical engineering and related
disciplines.
Association of Health/Science Students - The
purpose of this organization was to express the
needs of pre-health science students to faculty
and to provide insight facilities and programs to
students concerning health science field.
Bilingual Education Students and Trainers
- The organizations primary purpose was
to encourage and promote bilingual
education through an understanding and
appreciation of other cultures, heritage and
values. It also provided an opportunity to
become familiar with the goals and
objectives of bilingual education.
Phi Beta Lambda - The national
business fraternity designed to expose
students to the "real world" applications
of business. President: Terry Ford. Vice-
President: Paul Hicks, Secretary: Jodi
Brown. Treasurer: Joey Garza. There were
45 members of this organization.
-Sponsor: Dr. Frank Norwood.
Physical Education Club - All students who
were physical education majors and minors
were eligible for membership. The purpose
was to promote interest in the different areas
of physical education.
Pi Alpha Sigma - This organization was
designed to help honor accounting majors
become more aware of aspects of the
business world through the use of films and
guest speakers. President: Syndi Hillberry,
Vice-President: Carol Evans. Secretary:
Nancy Silva. Treasurer: Michael Gillland.
