To Re-organize the Orange.
In responso to a call issued by
Major A. J. Rose some forty or
fifty of tho prominent farmers
met at Belton Saturday and dis-
cussed the feasibility of reorgan-
izing the Grange in this county.
It was the opinion of those pres-
ent, that, profiting by the exper-
ience of past mistakes,, the
Grange might now be made a
very useful thing for the farmers.
After a goneral interchange of
opinions it was do6ided that an
eltort would be made to reorgan-
ize the Graneres of this cnuntv.
The matter is to bo diRnnnsoH
among the farmers and another
meeting will be hold at the Keys
Vallev sohoolhouso on Ootnhon
29, when further steps will be
taken toward the organization of
me orange.

Fever at Laredo.
The following letter to Mr. J.
D. Slawson, Great Chief of Rec-
ords ol Red Men, from Laredo,
may be of interest to Tribune
readors:
Dear Chief and Brother 3ro.
Richardson, our Sachem, and
Bro. Agan, our Prophet, are both
down with the yellow feyer. but
I am very glad to say that-they
are both well over the critical
; stages and will be up and out in
a iew aays. txn otner brothers
have been attached, that I know
of, up to this timo. The number
of new oases averages about thir-
ty a day. Tho fatalities are
chiefly among the humbler class
of our Mexican population, who
fear the doctors will poison them:
many of those cases aro conceal-
ed, and when they aro discover-
oa tney are usually past help, and
even if found in time they refuse
to take medicine or follow direc-
tions: and the natural result fol-
lows. This practice of conceal-
ing case.'i makes it impossible to
prevent the mosquitos from get-
ting access to them, and after-
wards spreading the disease', and
for chat reason the situation is
hard to handle and the. doctors
hardly know when they can pro
mise an improvement.
Tins letter will bo well fumi-
gated beforo leaving the Laredo
postoffico, but it would not be
dangorous to handle anyway.
Fraternally yours in F., F and C,
J P. Mullally.
