facilities as reporter, which facilities vvefe afterwards
defined to be the pitiful boon, of pen, ink, paper, light,
&c, at the expense of the House. Now it is anascertain-
ed fact, lhat the amount of money sufficient for a repoiter
to furnish his ovn stationery each day will amount, to
say'from 8 to 12J cents, and who in his senses, would
trouble Congress for arspecial appropriation, to save him
the trouble of carrying a sheet of paper to the House with
him. As trivjal as this was however, it created conside-
rablejdebate. The resolution was proposed to be amend-
ed, by including the reporter of the Telegraph, thrn oth-
ers, to include all reporters. Some gentlemen were very
much afraid that in consequence, the House would be fill-
ed with Reporters, and that all the stationery would beus-
.ed up in this way. The resolution was finally lndefinito-
Jyfpostponed. So far asjhe Telegraph or its reporter is
concerned, I am quite sure"1, no such concession was ever
dreamed of or desired knowing that a rule of the House
required thai access should be given to those who might
wish .to obtain matter for publication, any further fa-
cilities was deemed unnecessary.

ROWAiND'S TOiMC Ai IXTU RE, or 'Vegei?ble Febri-
fuge; a specific and lasting cure ior'theFcverand Ague.
This worthy remedy ear.-.csily repels the slur of being a quack
medicine, it having been the lesult of many years' Mudy, expe-
rience, and labor, in the medical practice and obvseraiion of
FEVER. AND AGUE. It ib composed ofsuch 'mediunal
principles as were considered mot fit to restore the harmony 1 1
action between the Stomach, Liver, and the other important
funriionsof the system, the loss of which harmony ib evidently
the Immediate cause ol thc-isease. It speedilj' promotes a re-
gular and healthy appetite, which is generally entirely destroy-
ed or renderedvery precarious; by which effect, vigor and
strength is soon afforded to the. whole system. I must be ap-
parent to all, that a medicine possessing these peculiar virtues,
is uselul ina great variety of complaints. By renewing the
healthy action of the digeslivp organs, it has proved itself of re-
maikableberiefitin Dyspepsia, Depraved Appeii.e, Heari-burn
.Water Brash, Flatulency, Jandice, Night Swe its, Dysentpry,
Bowel Complaints, and many other affections ol similar origin.
But it is in the treatment of Fevers, and especially in FEVER
AND AGUE, or IntermittantFeyer, that its powers liave been
principally tested, and with thoaewho have seen iu usefulness,
it is pronounced sovereign to all remedies heretofore discovered
for those diseases. It has also been used as a preventive by
many who were subject to a periodical recurrence of the Chills
and Fever, and it has always warded off the apprehended attack.
ForTurlher accounts of its great usefulness, see pamphlets ac-

the village drug stores, and soon at every country store in the

them. No family should be a week without these remedies.
