HORSES TO HIRE.
I have opened a stable on Abasolo
street, where I shall keep constantly
on hand from thirty to forty substan-
tial horses to let; or a sufficient amount to supply
the demand of the whole travelling community.
No gentleman need look farther than my stable to
obtain a horse to ride to Burita, Point Isabel, or
elsewhere and servants will be furnished at all times
to return horses if desired.
Mr. William Parker who is known to be an at-
tentive Ostler and skilful Farrier will superintend
the establishment and see that justice is done to all
transient horses intrusted to iiis charge. As many
horses unaccustomed to standing upon brick floors
are liable to injury therefrom 1 have made arrange-
ments to acccommodate those differently who may
wish.
Application made at the stable or at my office
on Terran street will be attended to.
U^Persons riding my horses to Burita will please
leave them with Mr. A. G. Owens, who is fully au-
thorized to act as my agent at that place.

TO THE PUBLIC.—Having been keeping a
Ten-pin Alley in this place for some time, we
have become fully convinced that the sale of Ardent
Spirits is not only injurious to the health of the resi-
dents of this place, but also increases the tumult and
fighting among the American inhabitants, we there-
fore take this method of informing our friends and
the public in general, that after the 15th inst. wc will
sell nothing at our Bar but Wines, Cordials, Ale, Ci-
der, Pop, Ginger Beer, &c. Those v\ ho wish to en-
gage in the healthy game of Ten Pins will find our
Alley and all conveniences the same as in their na-
tive States, it being conducted altogether upon the
American style. We have been making arrangements
for a continued suppl) of Soda Water, and in a few
days will be able to serve it out to all who may favor
us with a call. MURPHY &. WALL1S.
