Infj Assistant to the Secretary of the Treasury at Washington
wo find the following1 declaration
The cooperation of the I cderMlorvt and Unions making up
the American Federation of I abor is a very important asset
to the United States in its National Defense Program I
The letter calls attention to the action of President William
Green of the American Federation of Labor in connection with
the letter which he is just sending to the Officer of State Fed-
erations of Labor National and International Unions and Fed-
eral Labor Union en the subject of Defense Savings Bonds
The Texas State federation of Labor joins heartily in the
campaign to encourage people of all walks of life to purchase
these Defense Savings Honda I ull cooperation is underway to
give complete distubution of literature on thfa subject supplied
y the Treasury Department Every effort U being put forth
to see that the individual members of all affiliate organizations
have called to their attention this opportun-
ity for further service to Our Countr > as
well as n sensible systematic savings plan
