COURSE C.-MR. THORNTON.
New Testament Greek. Selections by different writers with attention
to Hellenistic forms and Hebraisms. Style of each author
noted. Especially designed for young ministers and others making
a careful study of the New Testament. 3 hours a week. 1 unit.
GERMAN
GERMAN 4.---iss Walker. A course intended for students having
little or no knowledge of German. This will not be counted as a college
course. German 4, to gether with German A on an average grade
of 80 will absolve three units entrance and one course in College. It
will be conducted largely in German and will consist of the elements
of grammar and a moderate amount of reading. The same preparation
will be required as for any College Course. Open only to College
students.
COURSE A. -MISS WALKER.
A thorough review of Grammar; Composition; Conversation;
Texts: Thomas' German Grammar; Wilkommen in Deutschland,
Freytag's Die Journalisten; Schiller's Wilhelm Tell; Heinie's Die
Hartzreise. 1 unit.
COURSE B.-M ISS WALKER.
German Ballads and Lyrics; Selections from the works of Goethe,
Schiller, Lessing, and Heine's History of German Literature. 1 unit.
ECONOMICS
COURSE A.-MR. THORNTON.
Principles of Economics (Fall, Winter and Spring). The court
deals with the fundamentals of present day Economics.The laws governing
value, and production and distribution of wealth, will be made the
chief object, but considerable attention will be given to practical problems
of monopoly, money and banking, labor, railways, agriculture, etc,
Instruction will be given by lectures, oral and written quizzes, problems
and papers. Three hours a week.
