It was stated a few paragraphs up that the school board is hi mi

The critical need for more classrooms exists in the first eight gradi s

agriculture department but is completely adequate for elementary i lass

When it is seen that more classroom space is needid i id hi
something must be done to satisfy the Tevas Education Ageniv comcrn

about the way to proceed nd these opinions cost all the wa hit
00 000 to 2j million
Ptionally we have no direct interest in the schools ilassrocm
problems since we have no students in school Half da > school or transfer
of classes to the gymnasium would in no way affect us Howesir
fo the sake of those having chidren in school we plan to cast a ote
for the issue
As to the cost the school plans to pay off 6000 principal each year
for 10 years This is less than the cost of two beginning teachers for
one year
We dont believe thi 6000 will upset our economj or tax structureJust for the records enrollment in the first eight grades is now
1265 Total enrollment in the Tulia public school system is 1 637

PROVIDING CLASSROOMS for students is similar to the housing
situation Its a headache to provide classrooms just like it is
a headache to find a place to live but wed hate to live in a community
that was not needing additional classrooms and had a lot of vacant
houses for rent
