Designed to develop understanding of the forces
that shape the elementary curriculum, with
emphasis on trends and research. Laboratory
experiences are provided. (This course should
be taken concurrently with Ed. 4391.)
3363. The Teaching of Reading in the Elementary
School
Deals with the nature of reading processes in
a developmental program.
3365. Teaching Social Studies in the Elementary
School
A study of the topics, units and methods in
the total social studies curriculum.
3366. The Education of Young Children
Study of current methods and practices in the
education of young children.
3369. Language Arts
Study of the history, theory, and strategies of
teaching the language arts.
3371. Curriculum for Early Childhood Education
Study of current practices and theory in all
phases of early childhood curriculum.
