ALL WORK FULLY ACCREDITED
The correspondence work of Abilene Christian College has been
approved by the Association of Texas Colleges and our work is accepted
by the State Department of Education. This means that our
correspondence courses receive the same recognition as courses completed
in residence.
COURSES
Each course offered by correspondence yields three term hours of
credit, i. e. the equivalent of a course which meets three times per
week for twelve weeks (36 recitation hours). Courses numbered from
300 to 319 are primarily for freshmen, those numbered from 320 to
349 for sophomores, and those above 349 for juniors and seniors.
REGISTRATION FEE
Each student is charged a registration fee of $2.00. This is required
upon application for the first course and is payable only once.
The fee is not returnable unless the application is rejected.
TUITION FEES
The tuition fee for each three term hour course is ten ($10.00)
dollars. This includes the paper and return postage fee, as well as
the regular tuition charges.
POSTAGE
Students should always place sufficient postage on the material
mailed to the Extension office. Failure to do so will make it necessary
for the department to make a small charge to take care of the
additional expense.
HOW TO PROCEED
Select the course or courses you wish to take, then fill out the application
blank and mail it, together with the tuition fees, (and registration
fee if you have not paid it before), to the Director of Abilene
Chrisian College Extension Department, Abilene, Texas. As soon as
your application is received you will be assigned an instructor and
the first group of questions will be mailed you. When you have
finished the first assignment, send it to the extension Department
and begin on the second while waiting for your first paper to be
graded and returned to you. The same procedure will be followed
throughout the course.8
