A study of general biological principles and of some of the simplest

123.-General Zoology.
A general consideration of the invertebrate forms, structure, functions,
variations, development, reproduction, life history, life problems
and general principles of the invertebrate phyla. Not credited
unless course 133 is finished.

133.-General Zoology.
A general study of the vertebrate forms. Classroom study of the
functions, history, and adaptations of this group of animals. 'Laboratory
study of turtle, bird, animal, etc.

Prerequisite: 123. Text: Hegner's College Zoology.
143.-Elementary Botany.
A general study of the different groups of plant kingdom, presenting
the most important facts regarding the structure of cells,
tissues, tissue systems, and physiological processes. Laboratory work
will be done in algae, fungi, mosses, ferns, and seed plants.
Two lecture-recitations and four hours laboratory work. Field
trips.
Text: Bergen and Davis' Principles of Botany.
213.-General Physiology.
A general study of the human mechanism, including physiological
experiments and laboratory work in mammal dissection.
No prerequisite, but a knowledge of Freshman Zoology recommended.Text: Martin's Human Body (Advanced).
Three hours recitation and three hours laboratory.
Not credited until after 223 is taken.
223.-General Physiologly and Hygiene.
Work in the study of nerves and tissues. Also in chemistry of
food and digestion. Detailed study of organs.-
