WAITING IS DANGEROUS
If you wait to get all things just as you would like, you will likely
remain always just where you are. If difficulties lie in your way,
begin now to break them down. Others have overcome the very same
things. So can you. The time to do it is now. While you wait others
with no more talent are going right ahead. We have assisted otherswe
may be able to assist you. Write us plainly and fully of your difficulties
and we shalLgladly help you if we can.
A WORD TO PARENTS
You have succeeded without education. Yes; but you can't tell how
much better you might have succeeded with education. And conditions
are different now. Competition is keener in every department
of life. Things are moving now all along the line. Your boys and
girls must move or be left behind. Their bodies must be 'strong for
endurance. Their minds must be clear and active. The money and
sacrifice you put into their training will be the very best money you
ever spend for them or give to them. And don't make the fatal mistake
of sending them to a school where all attention is given to the
body and mind, while the soul is neglected.
YOUNG PREACHERS
Believing that the consecreated young man, who would preach the
gospel of Jesus Christ, should be thoroughly trained for his work, we
have planned a number of courses for this special purpose. The courses
are very practical. You are to "preach the Word." It is absolutely
necessary for you to know the Word of God. Examine especially the
courses we offer in the department of the Bible. You will note also
the many other courses which we offer, that will be of special value to
you in your life and work as a preacher. Under the most excellent
care and instruction of Brother Klingman, Brother Freeman and
Brother Sewell you will have excellent opportunities. It is not likely
you could find teachers who are more able and who are better fitted
for the work. To all students actually preaching we will give free
tuition. This does not mean matriculation, library, laboratory, fees,
etc.; it simply means tuition in the department in which one registers.
SCHOLARSHIP STUDENTS
Students who receive free tuition will be expected, when called
upon, to assist in library work, office work or any other work that
may need them, working with a four hour per week maximum.
TEXT BOOKS
Bring your text books with you. They may be of service, if not to
you, to others. A book store will be conducted on the campus for convenience
of the students. You can get what you need at this store.
All text books are subject to change. Bring your old books but do not
buy new ones before coming here.
WHAT TO BRING
Each student should bring a Bible, bed linen, towels, napkins, one
pair of blankets, one comfort, one bed spread, one pillow, toilet articles,
drinking glass; and plate, cup, knife, fork and spoon to be kept in
room.
