(5) Eighteen hours in education.

II. PRIVILEGES
1. All candidates for the B.A. degree who average nine grade
points for each th'"e-hour course presented and who make at least
95 per cent on the senior examination are graduated "with highest
honors"; Lhose candidates averaging eight points for each
three-hour course and who make at least 92 per cent on their
senior examination are graduated "with high honors"; those candidates
who make seven grade points for each three-hour course
taken and who make a grade of at least 89 per cent on their senior
examination are graduated "with honors." These phrases are put
on their diplomas, public announcement is made at graduation
time and special reference is made of these graduates in the next
catalog.
2. Any student who has been in residence one semester and
has credit for 90 hours of college work is entitled to senior privileges,
provided he has made a B-minus average on the work of
the last semester and has proved by his good conduct and excellent
spirit of cooperation that he is worthy of this trust and confidence.These privileges shall be the following: 1. Permission to go to
town at any time during the day that does not conflict with h1is
work, and to be out until 10:30 on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
nights. To have social privileges on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
evenings until 10. 3. Exemption from final examinations of
the last semester, upon an average of B on work then in progress.
4. Exemption from all written tests of the last two weeks and
from class aendance during the first two days of Senior Week (the
week preceding Senior Sunday). If the class wishes, it may have
an outing or picnic on the two days mentioned in No. 4, provided
it is strictly a class affair. 6. To have charge of and conduct all
chapel exercises during the week before Senior Sunday which is
the Sunday before Commencement.
The privileges enumerated above extend only to seniors. If a
senior wishes to invite an under-classman to share in any senior
privilege, said under-classman must first secure permission from
the dean before such prvilege may be exercised.
Students must apply for senior privileges.42
