CAMPUS AND BUILDINGS
On the campus, consis-.ting of thirty-five acres, are seven firei:ocf
bhuildindgs, all completed in 1929, at a cost of approximately
. :.u00. The- Adm.inisnatiLn Building, the Education Building,
the Fine Art.: and Auditorlium building , and the Bennett Gym,
hasilm c-ompiise thie vworkiLng plant for the college. The Men's
Dori.tor-y ha. accoi modatios for one hundred and fifty. The
.omen's Dorinitoi-y has accommodations for one hunderd and
fii. Chambers la-s, a thrce-istory lding, has b oarding accommodations
fo four hun dred students, also rooms for light housekeeping
on the third floor. All these buildings are equipped with
new, modern conveniences, insuring the best in comfort and service
to the students. The parlors of the Women's Dormitory provide
an ideal place for entertainments and other gatherings for
students and faculty.
LIBRARY
The college library is now located on the man floor of
Chambers Hall which was formerly used for the dining room.
The move from the third floor of the Hardin Memorial building
(Administration building) has provided a large reading room and
more shelving space for books and magazines. This extra room
was greatly needed in order that students nmigh't be given more
efficient service.
Other additional improvements which aid in giving better
library service are: a better qualified library personnel, a thirtytray
card catalougue, a vertical file, better means of display, and
a larger number of carefully selected periodicals among which
are educational and religious journals, fine arts and recreationalI l
