SESSION OF 1917-'18
WHAT TO BRING
Each student should bring a Bible, bed linen, towels, napkins,
one pair of blankets, one comfort, one white bed spread, one pillow,
toilet articles, and knife, fork and spoon to be kept in room.
UNIFORMS
A simple, inexpensive uniform will be used, consisting of a coat
suit, with Oxford cap to match. The uniforms will be purchased under
the direction of Mrs. J. P. Sewell. These uniforms will avoid all
extravagance in dress by our boarding girls. We suggest for every
day wear, simple dresses. If you have plenty of money, there is no
reason why you should waste it on your daughters while they are in
school. It will do them harm and not good. Young ladies who expect
to study music and expression should be provided with simple inexpensive
white dresses for recitals. No low neck, sleeveless silk or satin
"evening gowns" will be allowed. They do not belong to school life.
This rule will be faithfully observed during the session.
CORRESPONDENCE AND VISITS INVITED
If there is anything in which you are interested as to the work
of our institution, please write us fully and freely, or better, still,
visit us if you can, and we shall take pleasure in presenting everything
to you just as it is. At any time during the year we welcome
visits from our patrons and friends. Write us and we will meet you
at the station, or if you do not write, come right up to the College.
You will be welcomed.
QUALITY

are in guarding your health. If you needed the service of a physician,
naturally you would place yourself in the hands of the best. Is it
not as vastly important that you choose the best school, a school where
the hand, the head and the heart are properly safeguarded. This
school has modern equipment and competent instructors. We make
a specialty of quality, not only mental but moral and spiritual as well.
ACT NOW
There was a time when ships were blown into harbors by friendly
winds. That time has passed. Neither are men carried by a
friendly wind into success. The boy who decides each year that he19
