Bookkeeping
There is also a greater demand for bookkeepers than ever before.
It is a plain fact that young men and young ladies who wish to
make themselves useful in this modern age of business, and so qualify,
as to demand a good salary for their services, must have a thorough
course of training in their chosen profession.
This work will include a complete course in Bookkeeping and
business training. A course in Commercial Law will be given and
all literary work needed may be taken in the high school and Junior
College Departments. Students of the Freshman and Sophomore
classes of the Junior College may take this work as a credit course.
Those who give their entire time to bookkeeping will be charged
$10.00 a month or $45.00 for the entire course.
Physical Education
This institution believes that careful attention should be given to
the development of physical manhood and womanhood as well as to
the intellectual and spiritual development. It is the purpose of the
college to stimulate an interest in wholesome athletics, athletics that
will afford an opportunity for healthful exercise, train the mind, and
elevate the morals of those participating. Every possible precaution
is taken to protect all college athletics from any taint of professionalism. While the college engages in iuter-collegiate contests the policy of
developing highly specialized intercollegiate teams is subordinated to
that of providing suitable exercise for all students. The following
branches of organized athletics are offered: Tennis, baseball, basket
ball, volley ball, cross country running, track and field sports, with
inter-collegiate, inter-class, and inter-society contests.
For those who do not wish to take part in athletic games other
suitable forms of physical training will be provided.
