NEW MOTHER HUBBARD
Here is an old nursery rhyme
written the style of a crossword
puzzle
Old Motder Hubbard went to the
receptacle for nourishment
To get her poor dog an osseous
titbit
When she got there the cupboard
was entirely denuded of its
contents
And so the poor doggie got tho
opposite of any

and shes writing a letter
to the author suggesting a couple
of dozen corrections and tip nd

for fonvi time 1 see the sun peeping
over the hill How it makes
all of thu hillsides sparkle and
glisten The dewcovered plant
look like the diamonds gleam and
fairy rainbows are spread everywhere
What could make me appreciate
Nature more than this
scone
Then 1 shall go back to camp
and eat the delicious lunch that
mother has prepared
After lunch I try to take a nap
but how can I sleep when Nnture
and my liCtlo sister are calling
me Sister wants me to go with
her to tho river and swim I enjoy
swimming to much that I
wantto go back again The river
in so different from tho swimming
pools Tn tho city I come back to
camp to amuso the children for
a while
It is not long until the evening
shadows fall and night tomes

After supper I > hall sit by

which I do not recognize
As I sit by the fire which is
near tho creex I se > tho moon
Nhedding Its light on the liny
rippling waves as the creek flows
on to join tho sea Also tho reflection
of tho firo on the water
makes a lurid color
Finally I morn to the banks of
the creek and while sitting there
thinking of tho beauties of Nature
I think of what Shakespeare

How sweet tho moonlight sleeps
upon this bank
Here will wo sit and let the sounds
of music cre p In our ears
Soft stillness and the night become
